First, slice the avocados in half (lengthwise). Discard the pits, and use a spoon to scoop the flesh straight into a food processor/blender.
2 Hass avocados
Add the remaining ingredients to the food processor/blender.
¾ cup yogurt, ½ large lime, ½ teaspoon onion powder, 1 garlic clove, ⅓ cup fresh cilantro/coriander, red chili flakes, salt and pepper
Blend for 1-2 minutes until smooth. Taste and adjust, adding more salt/pepper/lime juice/chili if desired.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Tip 1 - You might need to blend for a minute or two more depending on your blender.Tip 2 - Play around with seasonings such as paprika, cumin, oregano, and thyme if desired.Tip 3 - Not a fan of cilantro? Replace it with other fresh herbs such as parsley or chives.Want thinner consistency? Simply add a bit of lime juice, water, or oil at the end & blend again.GREEN TIP - Don't throw away the cilantro stems. They're perfectly edible.To serve - Use as a topping for burrito bowls, salads, tacos, taquitos, and quesadillas. Or use it as a dip and serve with tortilla chips, veggies, crunchy bread, or crackersTo store - Transfer the crema to an airtight container. Refrigerate and use within 3-4 days.
