5-Ingredient Green Apple Curd (with Lemon & Cinnamon)
This 5-Ingredient Green Apple Curd is ultra juicy, cinnamon-packed, and infused with double the lemon goodness (zest and juice) for a richer flavour. It's SO easy and versatile.
If you’re using sweeter apples, add more lemon juice and less sugar.
In addition to sugar, you can also add some liquid sweeteners (maple syrup, agave syrup, etc)
Lemon can be left out, but it does add another flavour dimension
Always wait for the curd to cool down slightly before adding (the optional) butter
Once you’ve added cornstarch, make sure to bring the mixture to a simmer!
To store - Transfer to an airtight container. Keep in the fridge for up to 10 days.To freeze - Place in a clean, airtight container. . Keep in the fridge for up to 2 months.To defrost - Once you’re ready to serve the curd, remove it from the freezer. Let thaw at room temperature. If you have a microwave, you can use it to defrost the curd within minutes.
