Equipment

  • Blender or food processor

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • cups fresh spinach
  • 3 cups fresh basil
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions

  • Add all your ingredients to a blender or food processor.
  • Blend until smooth. 
  • Spread on pizza & bake, or enjoy as is.

Notes

  • Want it spicy? Add green chilies (or chili flakes).
  • Don’t have a blender? Use a food processor or hand blender. 
  • Want it runnier? Add more oil.
  • Find it too runny? Add more spinach or basil.
  • Once everything is blended, add more spices or herbs to taste. 
  • Make it oil-free by swapping oil for water. 
  • Customise it with your own greens like parsley & kale
  • Want premade pizza sauce? Make it in large batches and have it ready whenever you want. 
  • To store - Place in an airtight container in the fridge. Keep for about 3-4 days.
  • To freeze - Place it in an airtight container & freeze for up to 2 months.
