Equipment

  • Measuring Spoons and Cups
  • Whisk or Fork
  • Cutting Board and Sharp Knife
  • Mason Jar with Lid

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon ground sumac
  • 4 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley tightly packed
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Mix. Add all the ingredients to a small bowl. Use a whisk or fork to mix the ingredients until well combined.
  • Taste and Adjust. Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning if needed. You can add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice to suit your taste.
  • Serve. When you're ready to serve it, give it another whisk/shake as the oil can separate quickly. If you're not using it immediately, store it in the refrigerator.

Notes

Don't have a whisk? You can make this dressing in an airtight container like a mason jar instead. Simply add all the ingredients, secure the lid, and shake vigorously until combined.
  • TIP 1 - Fresh Ingredients: Use fresh lemon juice and parsley for the best flavor. Avoid bottled lemon juice if possible.
  • TIP 2 - Adjust Sweetness: You can adjust this recipe to your taste buds - for example, you can add more sugar, salt, lemon juice, etc.
  • TIP 3 - Stick to EVOO: If you can swing it, I recommend using extra virgin olive oil instead of cheaper oils.
