First Watch Kale Tonic Juice - How To Make at Home

Equipment

  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • High-speed blender
  • fine mesh sieve
  • Large bowl
  • Two to three large glasses
  • Airtight container optional - for storing

Ingredients

  • 2 oz curly kale
  • ½ large cucumber
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 apple Fuji, Ambrosia, Pink Lady or Gala
  • 2 cups water
  • ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  • Thoroughly wash your kale leaves and remove any tough stems. 
  • Tear the kale leaves into smaller pieces for more effortless blending. Wash and roughly chop your apple & cucumber, and measure the water and lemon juice.
  • Add all your ingredients to a blender, starting with water.
    2 oz curly kale, ½ large cucumber, 2 tablespoon lemon juice, 2 cups water, 1 apple
  • Blend at high speed for approx. 2 minutes or until completely smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a large bowl through a fine mesh strainer (sieve). This will create the juice consistency.
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour your juice on top. Enjoy!
