Steep the Tea. Begin by steeping peppermint tea in boiled water. The longer you let it steep, the stronger the flavor. I'd recommend somewhere between 3 and 5 minutes. Strain.
1 cup peppermint tea
Add vanilla. Pour vanilla extract (or paste) into your tea. Mix well until fully combined.
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Warm Oat Milk. As the tea steeps, warm up your oat milk in a saucepan or the microwave. Do not bring it to a boil - simply heat it until piping jot.
1 cup oat milk
Froth. Use a handheld milk frother or a whisk to froth the warm oat milk until thick & frothy.
Pour. Pour the frothed milk on top of your tea.
Sip & Enjoy. Add a couple of small fresh mint leaves and enjoy the tea while it's hot. Decorate with chocolate shavings if desired.
A few fresh mint leaves, 1 teaspoon dark chocolate shavings
Notes
Tip 1 - Play around with Ratios. Your preferred tea-to-milk ratio might be different from mine. Tailor the drink to your flavor preference.
Tip 2 - Adjust Sweetness: Gradually add brown sugar, maple syrup, or peppermint-infused simple syrup to reach perfect balance.
Tip 3 - Serve Hot or Cold. You might want to serve this drink over plenty of ice during warmer months.
Tip 4 - Temperature Control. If you're serving this drink warm, ensure it's piping hot! Lukewarm tea is a no-go and will not create the same feel-good experience.
