The best 5-minute green pizza sauce studded with aromatic basil and refreshing lemon. It's delicious, so easy & made in a blender. Made with just 5 ingredients (plus salt).
Why You’ll Love It

- Made within 5 minutes
- Can be served as a dipping sauce for pizza
- Easy & simple ingredients like garlic, basil & dry herbs
- Like green pesto, but with no nuts
- A great alternative to classic red pizza sauce
Plus, I prepared step-by-step photos, video & serving suggestions for you below!

Yes, of course! Use it as a dip or spread (it's so delicious!)

Yes, it’s both vegan & gluten-free.
Storing & Serving
To store, place in an airtight container in the fridge. Keep for about 3-4 days.
There are countless ways of serving it - feel free to get creative.
I spread it on pizza, then topped it with cherry tomatoes & smoked vegan mozzarella. Just before serving, I added watercress, chives & hemp seeds. I used a pre-made pizza base (from M&S) and baked it for 10 minutes at 200°C.
Whereas I love it on pizza, I’m also addicted to using this sauce as a(e.g. add more salt, garlic, or make it spicy) for my homemade garlic twist bread.
My other top serving suggestions:
- As a pizza dipping sauce
- Toss it around with lettuce & veggies for a great salad dressing
- Spread it on bread & top it off with arugula (rocket), zucchini and toasted seeds
- If you’re making your own homemade bread rolls, you can use this sauce as a filling - it’s SO good.
